Waw, Five City Breaks - With Beach Holidays Attached!

Too many travellers think of City breaks and beach holidays as completely separate vacations. They assume that one excludes the other and that a City break should consist of museums and galleries, theatres and restaurants - and a beach holiday should consist of nothing but lazing by the sea's edge, chilling out.
This, of course, makes no sense. Some of the world’s most vibrant cities provide the best of both worlds - with culture and beaches. Here’s a guide to some great destinations where an afternoon on the beach and an evening in a cultured Cityscape are always on the menu.
Sydney, Australia
1. Sydney, Australia
Australia’s most dynamic and picturesque city is alive with famous attractions - from the harbour bridge to the opera house. But it’s also got its share of beaches, from the famous surfers paradise of Bondi to the more relaxed and sophisticated Manly
2. Tel Aviv, Israel
Israel’s most modern and effervescent city is a real delight and is also a great base to explore the Holy Land’s major sites. But it’s also home to an irresistible beach resort too, with most of the city hanging out on the promenades and sands in the evenings. If you want to experience some real fun, Tel Aviv’s young crowd hang out at Gordon Beach.
Mumbay Girgaum Chowpatty
3. Mumbai, India
India’s most dynamic city is becoming a magnet for tourists fascinated by its mix of traditional Indian charm and modern culture. No visit to the city would be complete, however, without a visit to the city’s teeming beach, Girgaum Chowpatty, famous for its views and street food in the evenings.
4. Cape Town, South Africa
Few cities in the world can boast a more spectacular backdrop than Table Mountain, Cape Town’s imperious landmark. But the Cape’s beaches aren’t to be missed either, with the golden strands of Table Bay providing amazing views of Table Mountain - as well as endless beaches.
Cape Town Big Bay
5. Rio de Janeiro
Brazil and Rio in particular are synonymous with beach life. In Rio, the world famous stretches of sand at Copacabana and Ipanema are alive with activity - and beautiful people - every day of the year. There’s nowhere better in the world to sit and simply watch the world go by. By night, of course, the city is equally alive with an array of cultural attractions, from jazz and dance clubs to great restaurants and theatres. And with the Olympics and World Cup heading there in the next few years, it's going to become an even more unmissable location.
